Fast Friday: The What’s & Why’s of Compression Sleeves?

In today’s Fast Friday, we are going to take a quick look at compression sleeves. What? Why? Well, because we get those questions a lot, as in: “what are they and why do people wear them?” Come on, you know you were thinking it as well.

To answer these questions we are going to the experts on the subject, the great folks at SLS3 Compression and Triathlon. You have probably heard of them, they are a sports gear company with an awesome line of products (they do have a LOT of cool looking products, including FXC Active Compression Sleeves.  So, straight from the experts at SLS3, here are the 5 (or 6?) reasons to Wear Compression Sleeves:

1) Feel Great.

Your legs feel fresher, both during and after long runs.

2) Protection.

They protect your legs from small scratches, abrasions and nasty things like poison ivy on the trail.

3) Swelling

Compression technology has been proven to limit swelling, especially in people who spend all day on their feet.

4) Dirt.

Collects on your sleeves and not on your legs.

5) Warmth.

Allows you to wear shorts on those iffy days when you’d reluctantly wear tights.

6’ish) Coolness

No they don’t keep you cool, but you will look pretty darn cool in your new calf sleeves.

OK, so the folks at SLS3 Compression and Triathlon know that they can always win us over with a good pun!

If you want to get into the compression game, you can check out some of their products over at their Amazon store and, who knows, maybe even start sporting a little coolness of your own! Have a great run everyone!

Enjoy the freedom of going wherever your feet, imagination, & determination take you!
