ROBOCOPP For Runner & Travel Safety

Here at Casual Runner, we bang the drum for runner safety. Ok, maybe we like banging drums, but really, we do care about runner safety. Whether it is making sure that you can be seen when running in the dark or protecting yourself from idiots who decide to drive onto a closed race course, we have this crazy idea that there is a direct correlation between you staying safe and you enjoying your run. While we do not have any sound, scientific proof for our theory, we are nonetheless confident in it.

While we hope this never, ever happens to any Casual Runners, the reality is that we have heard stories from readers who have found themselves in uncomfortable situations while running and traveling. Whether it is taking a wrong turn while running through town, or finding oneself on an isolated running trail, there are times where the solitary nature of race training can make one, well, uncomfortable. We often get asked what steps can Casual Runners and Casual Adventurers take to protect themselves in these situations? The conversation normally starts with ROBOCOPP.

ROBOCOPP is the world’s smallest SOS alarm. SOS means just that, SOS, as in, well, SOS, a distress signal. The ROBOCOPP Sound Grenade is small, portable, and always in easy reach when you are on the go. If you should find yourself in a distressing situation and need to call for help or scare off someone (who frankly needs to be scared off), you quickly activate it by removing the pin to emit a 120-decibel alarm.

For us laypersons, 120-decibel is very loud. Like, pneumatic riveter loud. ROBOCOPP will emit its alarm sound for up to 30 minutes or until you put the pin back in. ROBOCOPP is re-usable and is a non-lethal way to protect yourself while on the go.

We have this crazy idea that there is a direct correlation between you staying safe and you enjoying your run.

We love the versatility of this product. Because it is small, portable, resilient, and legal in national parks, music festivals, airplanes, federal buildings, and concerts, it is perfect for Casual Runners and Casual Adventurers alike (bonus points if you consider yourself both!). The device is water-resistant and TSA approved, so it is ready to go whenever you should need it.
